LIBERTY HEALTH MEDICAL SCHEME TO MOVE ADMINISTRATION FROM MEDSCHEME TO LIBERTY HEALTH

The Board of Trustees of the Liberty Health Medical Scheme today announced that the administration of the scheme would in future be undertaken within the Liberty Health Holdings structure ("Liberty Health"). This follows many months of investigation and discussion, to ensure that the best interests of the 100 000 members on the scheme are addressed.

The Executive Principal Officer of the Liberty Health Medical Scheme, Mr Andrew Edwards commented; "We are very excited about the numerous opportunities that the strategic alignment presents, especially within a consolidating market where growth, innovation and brand will be key to future success."

Mr Edwards went on to say that the move to Liberty Health from the present administrators Medscheme was scheduled for the last quarter of 2008. "The scope of the transfer process will be significantly reduced, given that Liberty Health recently acquired the Neil Harvey & Associated IT solution currently in use at Medscheme. The move will be seamless and scheme members will not be inconvenienced."

Commenting on the successful negotiation of the contract, Dr Peter Botha, Chief Executive of Liberty Health said "We are delighted that she scheme has made this decision, and have no doubt that the members will benefit greatly from the synergies this will create as we leverage the technological and human capital skills within the Liberty Group."
