PROTECTOR CHOOSES NHA FOR DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

NHA has traditionally been an IT company specialising in the vertical market of Healthcare. Within this industry, NHA has carved a niche for itself focusing on the specific area of Healthcare Administration.

However, NHA now added a new focus area to its business model. On the 1st of January 2003, Protector made the decision to outsource their paper management to NHA. For the first time, NHA has taken on non-IT staff to manage this new area. These new staff, Natasha Slater and Vivienne Boschomane, were transferred from Protector.

Protector decided to outsource all their paper management to NHA based on the fact that it was not their core competency and they believed NHA would be able to fulfil this function more effectively and efficiently. To facilitate this document management, NHA will use technology and "economies of scale" to provide a world-class service to Protector and future clients.

Currently, members, doctors and brokers communicate with administration staff in a variety of ways - paper via snail mail, fax into email box, email, telephone, IVR and website. Of these, only the last two are really "self help", and have built in tracking facilities. The other methods need to be manually tracked and managed to a greater or lesser degree.

In order to ensure that all communications are recorded and tracked through to completion, NHA have developed an integrated tool set, which will enable efficient contact management for Protector.

In conjunction with the document tracking toolset, NHA will scan and index all paper including claims, correspondence and other document types.
